Nir Paldi is an Artistic Director for Theatre Ad-Infinitum. Nir’s training includes the two year professional course at the renowned École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq as well as working with Ariane Mnouchkine at Théâtre du Soleil in Paris. He specializes in physical theatre including devising, modern storytelling, clowning and mask work. Nir’s latest productions, ‘The Big Smoke’ and ‘Odyssey’, were both performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2009/2010 meeting with great success. ‘Odyssey’ won the Stage Award for the Best Solo Performance (2009) and was shortlisted for a Total Theatre Award (2010). Odyssey has been touring throughout the UK and internationally for the last year and will be touring for the coming year. ‘The Big Smoke’ received a great deal of critical acclaim at the Edinburgh festival 2010 and will be touring venues throughout the UK including The Lowry, Theatre Royal Bath, Hull Truck, Norden Farm and many more. Nir teaches theatre for both adults and young people. He works with companies such as Stagecoach and Bigfoot Arts Education teaching children and is also teaching acting to students at the Rose Bruford Collage as a visiting tutor. Nir also runs Theatre Ad-Infinitum’s regular Master Classes for industry professionals.
