‘High-octane mime…a pint sized epic‘ ★★★★★ The Times

A nightmarish tale of love, betrayal and technological power from the multi-award winning makers of Translunar Paradise and Ballad of the Burning Star.

Inspired by Edward Snowden’s revelations and state surveillance, Theatre Ad Infinitum conjures an Orwellian future where a totalitarian regime monitors the thoughts of its citizens through implants.

Blending anime-style storytelling and pulsating soundscapes, Light draws audiences into its sci-fi realm. Torchlight innovatively illuminates this wordless production set atmospherically in darkness.

Theatre Ad Infinitum‘s work defies easy categorisation. Effortlessly switching styles in service of its latest subject, the international ensemble’s productions have been touring the world since 2008.

Nominated for a Total Theatre Award, our five star production, Light, is a sell-out at the Barbican/LIMF 2015, and at Edinburgh Fringe 2014

2014 was our seventh consecutive year at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Those who know our work also know that each production aims to surprise by being completely different to any other piece we’ve made. 2014 was no exception…

We had a wonderful time premiering, Light, at Pleasance as part of the 2014 Edinburgh Festival Fringe from 30 July – 25 August. Highlights included being Shortlisted for a Total Theatre Award in the Visual/Physical category, five and four star reviews and selling out to 4000 spectators. There are more details are below…

Then in 2015, Light London Premiered at Barbican as part of the London International Mime Festival where it sold out months in advance, and was once again a critically acclaimed success receiving a stunning five star review in The Times. Light then went on to tour nationally, selling out venues and continuing to wow audiences around the country.

Nominated: Total Theatre Award – Physical Visual Theatre
