A New Theatre Ad Infinitum Workshop:
When Theatre Meets Politics
18th – 19th Feb 2017 | 10am – 4pm both days
Battersea Arts Centre
Workshop cost: £150
An intensive master class for professional and semi-professional actors, directors and theatre practitioners, led by multi-award-winning international ensemble, Theatre Ad Infinitum.
In this two-day workshop that shares Theatre Ad Infinitum’s Lecoq-based theatre-making disciplines, we will explore how to create a piece of theatre revolving around a political theme you are passionate about.
Combining your own skills with Ad Infinitum’s unique techniques and approaches to theatre making, we will explore the possibilities of staging political complexity that can provoke thought, debate and reaction.
Making full use of your body in an empty space to bring to life an abundant world of characters, colours, emotions and atmospheres and using a physical-gestural language – you will develop your own individual style that will empower and enable you to surprise audiences taking them to places that perhaps they didn’t expect to go to…
Expertly facilitated by co-artistic directors, Nir Paldi & George Mann, this workshop encourages you to dive headfirst into the professional, productive and innovative environment of physical theatre-making that has fostered all of Theatre Ad Infinitum’s productions.
To book, please email your CV and short covering letter (no more than one page) to
Please note: places will be confirmed on a first come, first served basis.

Ad Infinitum Create ‘Run’, part of Bruford’s New Writing Season, Bargehouse, London
Run – a new devised production
8 – 11 June 2016 | Bargehouse, London
In a unique Victorian warehouse in London, rarely opened to the public in its entirety, Theatre Ad Infinitum collaborated once more with Rose Bruford College to bring a new devised piece, Run, to the annual New Writing Season performed by the graduates in the School of Performance’s Acting and Actor Musicianship programmes.
Following last year’s Britain Ltd, we were delighted to create, Run, a new piece exploring the ongoing refugee crisis, alongside two other new writing productions directed by Bush Theatre and Theatre 503.
KRISTIN LAVRANSDATTER: a new adaptation | August 2015
Each year, The North Wall Summer Residency unites emerging artists aged 18 – 25 with a professional theatre company to form a brand new ensemble with the aim of exploring ideas and developing new work.
In August 2015 we were thrilled to be invited by The North Wall to lead the project. Together with this new ensemble, we focused on the creation of a new piece of theatre, inspired by the Norwegian Nobel Prize winning novel, Kristin Lavransdatter, by Sigfrid Undset. It’s an epic tale following the extraordinary life story of a woman trying to swim against the tide, set in the dark and frozen landscape of 14th century Norway.
We’re very excited about sharing this piece, it’s turning into something special thanks to the team of talent we’ve been working with. We hope you can join us to see the culmination of our three-week Summer Residency.
Performances of ‘Kristin’:
7-8 Aug 2015 | 7pm | The North Wall, Oxford

Drama, comedy, darkness, horror, rom-com, tragedy or face-paced action – anything’s possible! Come and witness a performance that will provoke your imagination and reimagine the magic of the movies like you’ve never seen before.
