
Troels Hagen Findsen (Denmark) is an actor, director and musician from Copenhagen, Denmark. He is a founding member of Why Not Theatre Company in Toronto and has worked on numerous productions throughout Europe and North America. Troels toured Why Not’s latest show, I’m So Close It’s Not Even Funny, which went on to win the 2008 Toronto Summerworks Spotlight Award for best actors in the festival and Outstanding Ensemble from Now Magazine. Troels devised and performed in Tangram Theatre Company's production of Crunch, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where it was nominated for a Total Theatre Award. The production ran to full houses and went on to play in Poland and the Arts Theatre on the west end, London. His work on Temple Theatre’s Out of Chaos and Anger won The Audience Choice Award at The 100 Degree Festival in Germany, 2008 and won The Act Festival in Bilbao, 2008. He has worked with members of The Statsensemble for børneteater Corona La Balance (The National Ensemble for Children’s Theatre) and will play Don Quixote with Figura Ensemble in Denmark, spring 2009. Troels has taught workshops in physical theatre, devising theatre, le jeu, mask, clown, commedia, and chorus for schools and companies in Canada,France and Denmark. He is a graduate of the Ecole Internationale de Theatre Jacque Lecoq (Paris) and has also trained in mask at The International School of Comic Acting (Antonio Fava, Italy), in clown at The International Clown School (Eric Bond, Spain), and is a graduate of The Academy of Untamed Creativity (Denmark). He has also worked with Nadine George of the Voice Studio International, England. Troels is a member of Dansk Artist Forbund (Danish Artist Union).
