About Theatre Ad Infinitum
Theatre Ad Infinitum is a multi-award-winning international ensemble based in London that develops new and original theatre for a multi-cultural audience.
We all share a passion for innovative theatre-making, and create using improvisation and the universal language of the body. Drawing on our differences in culture, nationality, and language we produce a unique and engaging form of theatre unified by our commitment to the audience. That you may be moved, inspired and transported by our work is our first priority.
Theatre Ad Infinitum is at service to the shared experience that takes place between actors and spectators: theatre.
Core Company
Theatre Ad Infinitum UK is lead by two Artistic Directors, Nir Paldi (Israel) and George Mann (UK), who work together and independently to create new and high quality theatre. Additionally, Theatre Ad Infinitum have recently created a base in Canada led by Artistic Director Amy Nostbakken who is working together and independently with the UK team and who shares their passion for innovative and international theatre-making.
Company Members
We work closely with various physically trained professional performers, directing assistants, designers, technicians, costumiers and artists who join our collective to help us create each production. This is an ever-changing, growing and evolving list of people without whom our work would not be possible.

Productions
Translunar Paradise: After presenting a scratch of our new work Translunar Paradise inspired by W B Yeats poem The Tower at BE Festival in July 2010 Theatre Ad Infinitum were given the 1st Prize BE Festival Development Award. This comprised of support and a residency at MAC (Midlands Arts Centre) towards the creation of a full length version of their piece to open BE Festival 2011 . The development of the piece is also generously supported by Arts Council England, Theatre Royal Bath's The Ustinov, The Lowry, Redbridge Drama Centre London, and The Pleasance Theatre. Following BE Festival 2011 Translunar Paradise will tour the UK and overseas beginning at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2011 in Pleasance King Dome 3-29 Aug exc. 16 & 23 at 15.40.
The Big Smoke: Premiered at Pleasance, Edinburgh 2010. A confession of suicide sung a cappella inspired by the lives and works of Virginia Woolf and Sylvia Plath. Met with critical acclaim and stunning reviews across the board, The Observer describing the piece as Something special… this play was excellent. It will now tour in the UK during summer 2011 to over 12 venues.
Odyssey: Performed at Pleasance, Edinburgh 2009-2010. Homers classic tale told by one actor in one hour. An Official Fringe Sell-Out Show, four and five star reviews across the board, Mervin Stutters Pick of the Fringe for a second consecutive year running, won The Stage Award for Best Solo Performer 2009 and was Shortlisted for a Total Theatre Award 2010. Following this extraordinary success Odyssey continues to tour in the UK and internationally in Norway, Italy, Canada, Romania until Spring 2011.
Behind the Mirror: Debuted at Blue Elephant Theatre in 2007 and went on to Pleasance, Edinburgh 2008: A physical comedy using slapstick and mime. A critically acclaimed piece, The Observers Best of the Fringe 2008, Nominated for a Total Theatre Award 2008, Mervin Stutters Pick of the Fringe and went on to receive an Arts Council Grant for the Arts Award for its UK tour 2009.
Work In Development:
The War Project: Theatre Ad Infinitum was chosen out of four hundred companies to participate in The Exchange Theatre Orchard Project Residency Program in New York in June 2009 and supported by Arts Council England Grants for the Arts to research the first part of a new international devised piece exploring the theme of War to be developed over several years.
